TB NETBible YUN-IBR Ref. Silang Nama Gambar Himne

Roma 2:5

Konteks
2:5 But because of your stubbornness 1  and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath for yourselves in the day of wrath, when God’s righteous judgment is revealed! 2

Roma 11:4

Konteks
11:4 But what was the divine response 3  to him? “I have kept for myself seven thousand people 4  who have not bent the knee to Baal.” 5

Roma 15:19-21

Konteks
15:19 in the power of signs and wonders, in the power of the Spirit of God. So from Jerusalem even as far as Illyricum I have fully preached the gospel of Christ. 15:20 And in this way I desire to preach where Christ has not been named, so as not to build on another person’s foundation, 15:21 but as it is written: “Those who were not told about him will see, and those who have not heard will understand.” 6

[2:5]  1 tn Grk “hardness.” Concerning this imagery, see Jer 4:4; Ezek 3:7; 1 En. 16:3.

[2:5]  2 tn Grk “in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God.”

[11:4]  3 tn Grk “the revelation,” “the oracle.”

[11:4]  4 tn The Greek term here is ἀνήρ (anhr), which only exceptionally is used in a generic sense of both males and females. In this context, it appears to be a generic usage (“people”) since when Paul speaks of a remnant of faithful Israelites (“the elect,” v. 7), he is not referring to males only. It can also be argued, however, that it refers only to adult males here (“men”), perhaps as representative of all the faithful left in Israel.

[11:4]  5 sn A quotation from 1 Kgs 19:18.

[15:21]  6 sn A quotation from Isa 52:15.
